This notice explains what personal information 3DMC Ltd collects through 3dmappingcompany.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. 3DMC Ltd is the data controller for that information.

Our legal basis
When you send us an enquiry we use your information because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to you and to quote for work. When you become a client we use it to perform our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations around business records. Analytics cookies are only used where you have given consent through the cookie banner.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. No analytics or marketing cookies are set until you accept them on the banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the cookie settings link on the site. Declining does not affect how the site works.
The site also loads content from other companies when you choose to view it. Virtual tours are hosted by Matterport and our Google reviews are displayed by Trustindex. These are blocked until you accept marketing cookies.
Scan data
When we scan a property, yacht or business premises we capture images of the space and anything in it. That scan is produced for the client who engaged us, and the resulting tour is hosted on Matterport’s servers on their behalf.
- We do not publish a client’s tour publicly without their agreement.
- Tours can be password protected or restricted to people holding the link, on request.
- If you are a tenant, homeowner or occupier and you would like something removed from a tour, contact us and we will raise it with the client who commissioned it.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the suppliers that let us run the business:
- Microsoft, for our email
- Google, for website analytics and our business listings
- Matterport, which hosts the virtual tours we produce
- Our website host and backup provider
Some of these companies process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Email info@3dmappingcompany.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
